My beginnings

Since I was little I remember that I love science. In primary school I liked natural sciences, in fact, I used to go to the lab frecuently. But today I am on the path of social sciences. It's different, but I love it, because it makes me understand people's behavior.



The unexpected decision

Now, I came to this career after college, where I changed my mind: I went from wanting to study engineering to transfer to a career in Sociology. Since then I have been thinking about my future, I am in third year; after all, I have to think about those things. My ideal job after graduation is to stay in academia and be a great teacher. Apart from teaching I would like to investigate.

I have always thought that the teacher's work is fundamental for human development. Once, in high school, I almost decided to study math pedagogy. But for many reasons I did not do that. Now I would love to be in a classroom and teach in the best possible way, care about those people and enjoy it. I know that all work is stressful, but I like to see the best part, the fun moment.

Care work: teaching

The last few months, as a plot twist, I started a new freelance job and it works! Now I can say with certainty that I am a babysitter. This job makes me feel great and challenges me. It is very hard work, for which infinite patience is needed. Thus, I have learned to think of solutions, alternatives, dialogue, etc.

After all, I am teaching those children to live, to be careful, to socialize, to take care of each other. And of course I teach them things like math, reading, and English.

My favorite movie (s)

First of all, I would like to say that I find it difficult to choose just one thing from any subject. I mean, that's why I have two favorite movies.  The first movie is "Fight Club" . It´s s a 1999 American satirical film based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk. The film was directed by David Fincher and starred Edward Norton, Brad Pitt, and Helena Bonham Carter. I like this movie because I really love that plot twist where you see that some characters don't really exist, but they give the story some coherence. And I love the ending, in fact, thanks to this movie, I met the band "The pixies". The second is "Leon, the Professional" , a French crime drama film released in 1994.It was written and directed by Luc Besson and performed by Jean Reno, Gary Oldman, Natalie Portman and Danny Aiello. Lollapalooza: a great experience almost free

I´ve never been a concerts girl, in fact I don´t have many prefeer artist. But years ago I went to lolapalooza. That´s a really good story. When I was in school,  I participated in a recycling contest that promoted lotus producciones. we had to sign up (the price was $ 5000) and collect a certain amount of recycling Me and classmates won our entries to the festival.  The first day we had to collect as much recycling as possible to qualify for a prize, among which there was a trip to the snow  . But we also had to meet a minimum to be able to go the next day like any spectator. My best friend loved that artist and every kind of Djs or electronic musiccians. So he convenced me to go to Dj Snake´s show. He´s a famous french Dj, one of his singles is  "Turn Down for What".  The show was at movistar arena stage.  It´s a closed stage, so all the people, the darkness, the music so loud and led lights maked it a really good experience. Postgraduate studies

First of all, I would like to coment that on in this century it´s not enough studying a pregrade to get a good job and an acceptable salary.  Now I´m studying sociology in one of the most important universities of Chile. That makes me one of the fortunate ones in the country, but that´s the first step to me because I have big plans to the future.  That makes me feel a little anssious and a little scared, but I´m stubborn and I know that if I´m persistent I can make real my dreams.  As soon as I finish my undergraduate degree, I plan to continue my studies. If possible, do a doctorate directly. I am clear that to be able to access a job at the academy I need to have a good record. Although I have not yet determined which postgraduate degree I would like to do, one of my priority focuses is gender and inequality studies.
