Postgraduate studies

First of all, I would like to coment that on in this century it´s not enough studying a pregrade to get a good job and an acceptable salary. 

Now I´m studying sociology in one of the most important universities of Chile. That makes me one of the fortunate ones in the country, but that´s the first step to me because I have big plans to the future. That makes me feel a little anssious and a little scared, but I´m stubborn and I know that if I´m persistent I can make real my dreams. 

As soon as I finish my undergraduate degree, I plan to continue my studies. If possible, do a doctorate directly. I am clear that to be able to access a job at the academy I need to have a good record. Although I have not yet determined which postgraduate degree I would like to do, one of my priority focuses is gender and inequality studies.

I would like to get to do some assistantship in my career soon, because this is the entrance to the academic world in my opinion, so it is one of my short-term objectives. To this is added the active search for projects in which to participate mainly to gain experience.

Nowadays, it is important for me to learn a lot in the remaining years of my career and to make sure that I practice my profession. One of my life mottos is that it´s allowed to dream, but you have to work hard to realize it.
